Various aviation units from 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing and military members from 408 Tactical Helicopter Squadron, 1 Wing Kingston, 1 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, Canadian Forces Base Edmonton, participate in service-level training events to include Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 1-20, and Marine Air Ground Task Force Warfighting Exercise (MWX) 1-20 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif., from Sept., to Nov. 2019.

The purpose of ITX is to create a challenging, realistic training environment that produces combat-ready forces capable of operating as a Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) and to prepare units to participate in MWX.

MWX is a force on force exercise designed to challenge the MAGTF, other U.S. forces, and allied nations’ militaries against a peer adversary in a free-play environment in order to assist the forces with meeting current and future real-world operational demands.
