Soldiers from the Australian Army’s 9th Brigade have been using chainsaws and their Protected Mobility Vehicles (PMVs) to cut up and clear away fallen trees on Kangaroo Island.
This is freeing up access and allowing property owners and emergency services to reach infrastructure and water sources.
More than 120 Army Reservists are working with local authorities to provide assistance to community recovery efforts on Kangaroo Island.
